Clinical Evidence for Prolistem in Non-Obstructive Azoospermia (NOA)
Two clinical studies evaluated Prolistem in men with NOA and previous unsuccessful sperm-retrieval procedures.
2024 Controlled Study – 77 patients
Sperm retrieval during microTESE:
54.5% with Prolistem vs. 21.2% in the control group
2026 Retrospective Study – 29 difficult cases with ≥2 previous failed microTESE procedures
10.3% had sperm detected in semen after treatment. Among patients who underwent repeat microTESE, 23% had successful sperm retrieval.
These findings support continued clinical research into Prolistem as a potential strategy for selected men with challenging NOA.
Results vary between patients and do not guarantee sperm production, retrieval, pregnancy, or live birth.
